About the Healthy Beginnings Program
The Healthy Beginnings Initiative is a program supporting pregnant people and families in North Central Massachusetts. We help connect families to important services like medical care, nutrition support, childcare, and social programs, so that everyone has the resources they need to start strong.
We focus on practical, client-centered support, working closely with local partners to make sure families can access help when they need it. Healthy beginnings matter, and our goal is to make them possible for every family.

Who can join the Healthy Beginnings Initiative?
Anyone who is pregnant or within 6 months postpartum living in North Central Massachusetts and could use support accessing services.
Is there a cost to join the program?
No. The program is completely free.
What kind of services does the program offer?
We connect families to healthcare, nutrition assistance, childcare resources, housing support, financial benefits, transportation help, social and emotional support, and educational workshops.
How do I sign up?
Send an email to HBI@mocinc.org with your name, best way to reach you, and a brief message stating you’re interested. A team member will follow up to guide you through the process.
Do I need to provide documentation to join?
No specific documents are required to join the program. The information you provide is only used to connect you with services and support. Your participation is safe, confidential, and private.
Can I participate in workshops even if I’m not currently receiving other services?
Yes. Workshops are open to anyone in the community who wants to learn about prenatal care, parenting, nutrition, and other topics.
How do you ensure privacy?
All information you share with the program is confidential. We only use it to connect you to services and support.
