About North Central WIC 

At Making Opportunity Count, our North Central WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program helps families thrive by providing nutritious foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and social services.

WIC is a free program for income-eligible pregnant and postpartum women, foster children, infants, and children under age 5. Our team provides compassionate, personalized support to ensure families have the resources they need for healthy growth and development.

At WIC, families receive good food—and a whole lot more, including education, breastfeeding support, and connections to community resources.

Healthy Food Benefits

Supplemental monthly food benefits for items like fruits, vegetables, milk, whole grains, baby formula, and more—tailored to the nutritional needs of your family. 

Nutrition & Breastfeeding Education

One-on-one and group counseling with WIC nutritionists and peer counselors. Topics include healthy eating, growth, infant feeding, and breastfeeding support. 

Healthcare & Community Referrals

Connections to medical providers, dental care, early education, housing, and other resources to ensure your family is fully supported.

Family-Centered Support

WIC staff partner with parents and caregivers to provide encouragement, guidance, and culturally responsive services that meet families where they are.

Location Information

The North Central WIC office coordinates nutrition benefits, breastfeeding support, and family resources for eligible women, infants, and children. With many convenient locations across the region, families can call the Main Site to learn each location’s hours. The Main Site can also book appointments for all sites.
